Produced technical components for a pair of childrens theme part mascots. The “Moonpuppies” were mostly built by the client herself, while I merely provided the geeky bits:
The number of wires leading to the antennae mandated placing the driver circuits within the costume heads—they needed to be unobtrusive, durable and sweat-proof. Units were epoxy sealed after testing.
The antennae are treated with a UV-reactive pigment that responds to the lights inside, creating a gradual fade from purple to green to black. Unfortunately I only have video of the bare lights:
